This dance style was born in the streets of New York in the 70s. It is characterized by jerky body movements, floor figures and acrobatic figures. Inspired in part by martial arts such as Capoera, break dancing often takes the form of a "battle" between young people. The older ones supervise the younger ones.
Dress: sporty and comfortable, sport shoes with non-marking soles. No street or sports shoes that have been worn outside.
