Course given by Martine
Energy Yoga is a form of Hatha Yoga which is characterized by the mastery of the breath, the awareness of the gesture and the movement of the inner eye to lead the circulation of energies. It uses several techniques:
RELAXATION
An essential passage to evacuate all the agitation of the external world and thus invite us to let go
BREATHING
Breathing is the heart of yoga. It is a first step towards relaxation. Breathing control can help us control our emotions and reduce stress. Great importance is given to abdominal breathing, a slow, deep and conscious breathing, which will massage the internal organs, soften the diaphragm and cleanse the body to energize and revitalize it.
POSTURES (asanas)
Unlike gymnastic exercises, asanas are practiced slowly in order to establish a mental concentration and a conscious understanding of the movement. It is not the number of exercises practiced that is important, but rather the quality of their execution. Most of the postures can be adapted according to the physical possibilities of each person. Then, in the posture, the body will be maintained in a motionless position, without forcing, for a certain time, which will act in depth on the organs, the spinal column, tone the muscles and soften the joints.
CONCENTRATION
Often we are scattered, we are there by the body and elsewhere by the thought. To avoid this, during the practice, the mind is directed on the immobility of the body, on the awareness of the gesture and the breathing. The mind is then calmed and will be able to lead to the presence of oneself.
MEDITATION
It is a matter of maintaining one's attention and concentrating one's mind on the coming and going of the breath, without letting oneself be carried away by the thoughts that constantly arise. Practiced regularly, meditation allows us to be more attentive and to act in a more relaxed way in our daily life.
