Pilates

Classes given by Mara

A program of varied exercises to restore balance to the body by strengthening deep muscles that are usually little used and relaxing muscles that are too tense. The sequences presented offer the opportunity to improve posture and rhythm control, strengthen flexibility, gestural coordination and breathing. Anyone can practice Pilates because the exercises, although demanding, are not violent or traumatic to the body. All three classes include flexibility and mobility exercises for a complete functional workout.

Pilates Myofascial

Pilates, a training method developed by Joseph Pilates in the 20th century, has over the years been adapted and integrated with new techniques and approaches, giving rise to variants such as myofascial Pilates. The myofascial approach in Pilates aims to improve awareness and health of the fascia (connective tissue that envelops and supports muscles, bones and organs), through specific exercises and release techniques. All this can help improve flexibility, mobility and posture, while promoting overall well-being.
